Sensei John Bruce

The club has secured Sensei John Bruce for the next standardisation course on Sunday 12th Dec. Sensei John Bruce is a fierce competitor in both kumite and Kata. He is pretty much a permanent fixture in the England Squad. This is a great opportunity to train with 1 of the UK's best! Non-attendance will also affect members wishing to grade in the new year.

Ballymena North closure

Unfortunately the Ballymena North Club will have its last session on Friday 24th July, all members are recommended to attend the Ballykeel Club on Thursdays from then on. The Ballykeel Club will be instructed by Sensei Liam McSharry as of the 5th August

The Zanshin N.I. Shotokan Karate Club recently competed at the annual Irish National Open Karate Competition in Ardee Co.Louth. It was a good outing for the club with Yasmin Geddis, Zachary Geddis, Liam McSharry, Johnny McHenry, Leona O'Reilly, Andrew Mills, Peter Swastik & Jennifer Lappin all taking home medals in both kata & kumite

Hello, and welcome

My name is Liam McSharry and I have set up this blog for students to visit whether they train with the Zanshin N.I. Karate club or not. Over time it will contain info about our club but also other content that will be of interest to anyone who trains in Shotokan karate
